though we've fallen...

Hope, in its simplest form, is an acknowledgement that things aren't the way they should be. It's the promise of change; the longing that tomorrow will be better than today. Whether you're religious or not we all have the same thoughts when life slows down enough for us to have them: "Why is this world so broken?" "How can things get better?" "How am I going to get through this?"

The story of Easter starts with the bad news; It opens with pain and sorrow in way that's honest and familiar. And yet if the story ended there, leaving us in the dark, we wouldn't have any reason to celebrate...

THROUGH HIM, WE RISE

The reason why they call the story of Jesus "good news" is because His death deals with the problem of sin and suffering, and His resurrection gives us the power to rise victorious.

The story of Jesus is not, "be more perfect" but rather, "I was perfect for you". It's not, "bury your suffering" but, "I suffered and was buried so that you might live!"
